The Garden of Peonies

Garden of Peonies

From various grades of peonies that differ on height, terms of flowering and colouring of flowers, it is possible to create a garden from blossoming peonies, conceding on the beauty and aroma only to the garden from roses.

The leaves of peonies are laced, ornamental, keep constant decorative effect after blossoming and remain beautiful to the late fall. The curtains of peonies are placed near the paths in the form of the extended landings. The garden of peonies is possible to decorate by a green hedge from jasmine, red leaf barberry, lilacs, honeysuckles. Sometimes it is possible to frame the perimeter of peonies landings on with an external border from tulips. They blossom before peonies, underlining the beauty of their lace foliage. It is possible to make the second border from summer flowers, for example godetias, shining salvias, marigolds, or from later blossoming long term plants - astilbs, undersized phloxes. Blossomed and wilted flowers of peonies have to be cut off.
